At least 15 Palestinians have reportedly been shot and killed in areas near Israeli troops in Gaza.

The Israeli Army still controls about 53% of Gaza after its forces returned to the initial retirement line.

Yesterday, the Israeli Army said it opened fire on “some suspects”, while health authorities in Gaza said at least six Palestinians had been killed by Israeli fire in two separate incidents.

The IDF said it opened fire after the suspects crossed the withdrawal line and approached forces at the northern Gaza Strip.

“It is necessary to ensure that the ceasefire is preserved and progress towards the recovery and full realisation of Palestinians' right to self-rule”, said Ayith Sunghay, head of this UN body.

The “is equally necessary to ensure that recovery efforts -- including restoring public order and civil life -- are in line with protecting Palestinian human rights by international law. ”/Periscopi/
