IPK arrests suspected domestic violence police official
Pristina/Prizren, October 20th 2025
Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), respectively, investigators of the IPK Investigations Department have arrested a police official late last night on suspicion that the same had committed the same criminal work “raped into the family”.
The IPK had accepted information yesterday in the afternoon concerning the suspicion of a police official in Prizren having committed criminal violence in the family.
After receiving information, IPK investigators have come to the scene and taken necessary investigative action.
After several initial investigative actions, the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended by Kosovo Police at the IPK's recommendation.
IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecution in Prizren will continue to undertake other investigative actions towards full enlightenment of all the circumstances associated with the case.
