Carney made the statement during an interview with Mishal Husain on The Mishal Husain Show of Bloomberg, broadcast on Sunday.
When asked directly whether he would be prepared to arrest Netanyah, Carney replied: “Po.”
Addressing the future of Canadian politics on Palestinian citizenship, Carney said: the ultimate “goal is a Palestinian free and stable state that lives side by side in peace and security with the state of Israel. ”
He accused the Netanyah government of acting against this vision.
“We saw that government actions Netanyah were clearly designed to put an end to any possibility for a Palestine state, in violation of the UN Charter and contrary to the Canadian government's policy of any political kind since 1947”, he said.
Carney's comments came after the last ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, mediated under the terms of US President Donald Trump's peace plan./Periscopi/
