The World's Chief ancestor of the Bektas, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Baba Edmund Brahimaj, has given his support for the protest this Friday, October 17th, in Tirana, at 5:00.
The protest aims to seek a fair trial at The Hague for former heads of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).
The event will serve as calls for justice and to support the accused in the Specialised Chambers in The Hague, where former President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Ministers Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi are being tried, as well as former President Rexhep Selimi.
They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, charges they have flatly denied.
Protests in Tirana follow a similar event that took place 14 September in The Hague, where citizens and organisations gathered to express support for former KLA leaders.
The ancestors of Bektas call on citizens to join this peaceful protest and seek equal justice for all.
