Business with criticism for Government: We are called oligarchs of budget extortioners, the whole world the private sector is successful, except in Kosovo.

business businessmen and representatives said the year 2024 was marked by numerous challenges. According to them, the lack of labour force along with the decline of consumption was the main concern without even putting aside the business institution's non-comunification. They called for 2025 to be a year of economic development and institutions not to view the private sector as an enemy of the state, as the private sector said is the one that keeps the state on foot.

Continued citizens' flight to Western countries has caused the private sector in Kosovo to face numerous difficulties. In addition to lack of labor force, they faced even more consumer decline. Afarist Ramiz Kelmendi talks about the need for institutions to turn their eyes on the private sector.

If a solution is not found, no one needs a second mandate or a first mandate, because it must be understood that you cannot call businesspeople with labels as oligarchs as budget extortioners, since the court has no such decision. On the other hand, according to data from the Ministry of Trade and Industry during 2024, about 1500 businesses were closed.

Chamber of Commerce Chairman Skender Krasniqi numbers promises that the government did not fulfil in terms of doing business.

Meanwhile, a government decision on sharing 100 euros for children between the ages of 0 and 16 and pensioners was seen as helping to boost consumption.

The government has promised the creation of bonds so additions can only be purchased locally. Taxpayers' money would go to local production and the same would be returned through taxes on the cash register and wages for workers. On the other side of economic issues, they have linked the country's economic development directly to capital investments. The government in 2024 from the 3.3 billion-euro budget has allocated over 850m for capital investments. Meanwhile, economics professor Medayin Hashani speaks of the importance of spending budget planning in the economy, especially in capital investments.

If we analyze any government reflections, and the year 2025 is not a hope because with this governance we had the smallest investments in history. If we take statistics on this government I remain every year there are 1 billion euros. Four years of four billion euros with a 20% budgeted inflation each year I has lost value to money. They can't do it anymore because the investments are developing. 2025 brings new elections and we will see which government will manage the budget, but if we continue with this avaz even 2025 will not be the giving hope because x project ppo takes 5 years until it is realised”, Hashan said.

The government for 2025 has approved a budget of 3.6 billion euros around 930m euros for capital investments, including projects for the Mediterranean Games Pristina 2030.
