Striker Carlos Vela went through the Arsenal Youth Academy and made 29 presentations at Premier League for the Arsène Wenger team from 2005 to 2012, marking three goals.

He was seen as a great opportunity, but left Arsenal to join the La League team, Real Sociedad.

There he became one of the most productive attackers in Spanish football before leaving to join the new MLS, LAFC, in 2018.

Now 35-year-old, he's been playing there ever since and has lived in Malibu with his wife, Saioa Canibano, and their three children.

But his wife published this photo on Thursday in Instagram, discovering that their house, valued at $4m, was burned by fire currently erupting in the suburb of Los Angeles, in Palisades.

Currently, there are five fires in the LA area, with fire crews working quickly to control them. On Friday morning, the American clock, only a fire had not yet been controlled.

It is thought that there are concerns that the projected strong winds could exacerbate the situation, with parts of California affected by a severe storm last week.

A man has been arrested under suspicion of launching one of the fires, known as “Kenneth”, which is currently affecting some parts of LA and Ventura County.

American media report that the man, whom police confirmed he had caught trying to launch a fire, was found with a large “antian propani or explosive” before being arrested.

What we know now is that the incident happened here and about 20 minutes later, a suspect was detained by citizens. At this moment, this is what we believe [that fire was launched deliberately]. It is being investigated as a crime”, a LAPD media officer said on Friday morning.

The Kenneth Fire is currently burning northwest of the Palisades fire, which burned nearly 20,000 acres in Pacific Palisades in Malibu.

A number of Hollywood stars, including Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson and Billy Crystal, have announced that their homes are among over 2,000 buildings that have been burned as a result of fires.
