Sylvinho speaks of experience and life in Albania

During the interview, Coach Sylvinho again stopped at the emotions of “EURO 2024” and confessed his experiences, staff and team about those historic moments.

The red technique also praised the good work done by the FSHF for the development of Albanian football and the growth of the Red National.

There's a loss in football, there's a victory, of course, so far we've had a positive balance, but the problem was the team couldn't react. It was obvious. Yeah, it was a very tough fight, and I declared it to the press conference after the match. All group teams are strong, but it's a physically strong team, and it's highly tacticalally lined up, a team where everyone goes through and becomes difficult, gives almost no space to the opposing team. I think it should be a tie.

After a score of 1 to 0, the team did not react, did not arrive, did not have the strength to react. Are players missing or was it supposed to be? ) No, but that's a football game, a tough game, not an easy one. I think if we had first scored, the fight would have ended 1 to 0 in our favor. It was difficult because they were both teams well listed and strong.

You're upset with the team, all I'm talking about is the fight with Georgia? No, I'm upset with myself, there's loss, but I spend it, after two days I'm calmer, I have nothing to say about the players, they gave everything there in the stadium.

In Germany, what is the most difficult moment for you? When I saw Italy overthrow the score of the five-minute bow.

Couldn't you do anything? No, because Italy is a team that then closes, isolates itself in attractions, is used to European, world championships to win, not just to participate. About half the team has won champion title in Serie A.

What was your reaction when you saw Bajram's goal? I didn't see him. I had a glass of water, the game had just begun. I felt it, but I didn't see it. If I saw him later, I would have taken the water when Pablo was Ervin Bulku and called the goal, goal and I couldn't see him.

What's the most beautiful moment you've ever had? match Croatia. It seemed that the fight was closed, but they turned the score, to the end we equalised, but the entire 90-minute game was played, I agree, to win.

Mister you from what country in Brazil come? ) Sao Paolo. Sao Paolo has everything. The whole world is in Sao Paolo. As for the similarity report between a Brazilian and Albanian, we are similar.

Where do we look? I mean character, we're alike, we're in football, we've got to win a couple of fights and start and say we're the best, we're on the right track, and a loss makes us waver, lose some faith, people who like life, drink coffee, talk, have dinner together, there's a lot like nature to Albanians.

I want to go back to the European football championship in Germany. What, do you think, was that thing that didn't work properly in us, except we were in one of the hardest groups not seen in previous European championships? Yeah, that's right. But, I think after many months, three or four months, we've learned a lot, we've grown a lot like Federate, footballers, staff, me too. I have the experience of a World Championship with the Brazilian National in the quality of an associate of course in 2018 in Russia and for me these two championships are very close, of course the European championship as the first coach was something extraordinary. I think we did our best in the face of Italy, Spain and Croatia in a very complex and difficult group.

What happened at the match with Italy? ) Yeah, if we go back to the Euro-2024 championship briefly, in the first game the team had a kind of psychological drop, it's not easy, because you have to play in Europeans. I remember well after we watched all the Euro-2024 games to learn more, we didn't really play well with Italy. It's a matter of debut. The first debut is always difficult, since you're not used to playing that game level. European fights are different, the world and the European are quite different, you can play qualifying, friendly matches, you can also go to Wimbledon to play with England, but the European and the world are something quite different, something else.

Sylvinho's Albania has a winning mentality? We try to do that, I think statistics are. I think there's a limit that can be worked, for example, that we haven't lost at home in a year and a half, that we haven't had a goal. I think this is important data. Qualification at the European Championship, when you only lose your first match with Poland, that means something. When you win or evenize, so you don't lose, I think after that you gradually change the player mentality. This too is part of the process and work.

What's changing in football? Is it becoming more global? This too, since technology has been helping for over 10 years. We can see the opponent in all possible ways, part of the attack, defense, there's a lot of work to do, after each game the thing becomes even harder, but it's also true that there's a limit, the limit. We know Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England have very strong teams. But one fight is 90 minutes.

I want to ask you, whatever it's hard to answer: what do you think the future of Albanian football will be, whether you're going to be on the coach's bench or someone else is coming after you, are you optimistic or not? Too much! No doubt! With Silvio or not, because he's already developed, advanced, made a lot of passes. He's seen the federation and the nation's job. I don't know, I signed a contract, I don't know when, but another coach after me has to come here to work, live here. Everything has changed.

Are you satisfied here? ) Too much!

How do you feel when you hear discussions about players or the list? Well done! I've told the players, even in all the press conferences, when you ask about the players, the player himself needs to realize that I don't have it personally, when I put it in the nationals, it's not like one more or less. This is football, in the nationals you're calling, it's not about a society that's been going with 23 players all year. I mean, it's not personal to them, I have to take it on to bring a national player, then there's three million other people who say what needs to be done.

You know that Eddie Rey has had problems with the players himself. He didn't agree, he didn't play, he left them on the bench, etc. Do you have this problem? ) We all do, but we have to work. I heard Carlo Anceplotti yesterday in an excellent interview and said: “I'm always next to players”, and I agree with him, we need to move on. That's an advantage, when you have players of an important level, fortunately I've done it, and it's not my problem, I go to the player and talk to him. We discuss, talk, and grow together.

How's your relationship with President Duke? ) Very good with the Federation, with President Dukes, you enjoy great respect from me. No, I'm even more nervous than he is. Not at all. We have a report in mutual respect, I respect him as president because he's been doing a great job for a long time, obviously in contact with me, with the staff. I live in Tirana because this is where you develop.

You are one of the first trainers to live in Tirana. How do you feel in Albania? Very well, I'm used to living here, eating well, tasty fish, crusto, you have great dishes.

Have you travelled through Albania? ) Yeah. I've gone to see the President. Very nice place. Incredibly.

Is your family here in Albania? ) My wife always. He likes it, too, he lives here very well, he eats well, he lives well. Culture, people who respect you, it's beautiful here.
