The world's absolute boxing champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (37), was arrested at Krakov Airport, while the arrest video appeared on social networks.
According to American ESPN, Ussik planned to fly to Valencia (Spanja), where he wants to prepare for the Ravan against Tyson Fury (36) in Riyadh on December 21st (Sudian Arabia).
Ukraine was banned under unclear circumstances and was later declared to be a misunderstanding. A video published on social networks shows Usik leaving in handcuffs from police officers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also immediately intervened in this case, after which Ussik was released.
There was a misunderstanding. Everything was resolved quickly. Thank you all for taking care. Thanks to Ukrainian diplomats for their effective support”, Usik wrote on Twitter, but did not find out why he was arrested.
