Limaj: Kurti's misgovernance will have consequences up to the next 100 years

Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has said Albin Kurti's mismanagement will have serious consequences in the next 100 years. Limaj has said that decisions in the north of the country are the cause of this situation, calling them populist decisions. And these have consequences [...]

And that means tomorrow, and the policies that the government is making in the north are policies that are going to cost us hundreds of years, we've lived with those bad decisions of this government for 100 years, and we can't change them tomorrow, and I think that the government has the biggest failure of <x1.>, Limaj said at first.

“These are the population policy and all that has happened in this government is the population policy, and there is a general opinion of those who have supported this government and those who have been certain to this government is a general opinion that this government has failed in all internal plans of governance and the economic plan and the health and education in all directions within Kosovo is a total failure of this government, has failed to make a reform project, so this is the general opinion, and when it comes to the north there are those who say it has failed with all around the north, but it is different from me that the failure of this government in the north is the greatest damage that Kosovo has done, and that is exactly the way that Kosovo is paying for the north, and that is going to say, and that it's right now, the north Lima and that's right now.

The head of the Initiative has said the situation in the north has produced sanctions from the European Union, meanwhile, has said that for four years Kosovo's position in the international arena is zero.

Kosovo is bad, for me it's alarming that we as humans are looking normal to live by sanctions, and the very fact that Kosovo is punished by the European Union, that's scandalous, and the worst is that it's being normal under sanctions, and that Serbia should be, if for nothing else, but Banjska. That four years our international position is zero, and it is a risk that a country like Kosovo not living under sanctions, instead of fighting five countries to recognise, in countries to make deals with NATO towards partnership membership, in countries to take steps towards the European Union, and we have received punishment from them”, Limaj said.

Limaj has said that the ruling party's victory with such a large percentage gap is harmful to democracy. It considers that the difference between the first and second parties should not be more than seven percent.

And we need the strong opposition regardless of who comes, and those who come tomorrow don't come that way because everybody has a tendency and when there's a lot of this going and checking everything but they don't allow independent bodies, we need to keep independent institutions, we have to preserve the opposition potential and our democratic achievements, and I think we should be proud to live in a country where the opposition has acquired 50 percent, and it only happens in a democratic state, because it's created a democratic value here and therefore we have to preserve it, and now we have to say that the system has gained 50 percent of its democratic institutions and it has broken down.

“We need the opposition voice to be powerful and beyond party races we have something more sacred, the values we have built and we don't allow that no one can harm them and that will be done when we return to normal that the first party with the second should not have 5 or 7 percent more distinctions, it can't be so great because people in this country are and we deal with the same problems, someone better with higher abilities and not this big balance”, Limaj stated.
