Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has said the Kosovo government has fallen into the trap of Serbia's combative policy, creating spaces and facilities to carry out terrorist attacks on our country.
Speaking of the terrorist attack in Banjska a year ago and where police sergeant Africa Bunnjak was killed, Limaj has said Serbia has never concealed its claims on Kosovo territory.
“was an outright aggression in the work of Serbia. As you know, Serbia has not hidden its claims towards Kosovo, the hostile claims openly work to destroy all that has been built in the state of Kosovo, and these have citizen politics, but a year ago was a concrete step with the work of armed aggression towards an independent state, to create another moment to provoke a war or an open conflict in this part of the Balkans. This shows that the Serbian state has not only failed to give up and feel guilty for all those who have done it in the direction of Kosovo and other countries in the former Yugoslavia, but rather they lead their militant chauvinist policy towards Kosovo”, Limaj has said of EO.
The head of the Initiative also has criticism for failing to bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on Banjska. He has even said terrorists have taken refuge in Serbia.
The government of Kosovo unfortunately recognised what I said because this is the public behaviour of Belgrade, and Belgrade's report with Kosovo. The Kosovo government in many ways has fallen into the trap of this combative policy from Serbia, in many ways it has created spaces and facilitated Serbia to enter concrete action to muster Serbia's courage to commit aggression. He imagined a year and a year ago that Vucinciqi has committed aggression in Kosovo, has neither been isolated nor tried nor imposed on sanctions. But the opposite now of a year after Banjska, those who have made the attack are in Serbia, walking freely, publicly accepting actions here, not only has Vuciqi not been punished or even apologized. He has declared days of mourning for terrorists who have made attacks on an independent state”, Limaj said.
Limaj has said that the case “Banjska” has a history, but that Kosovo's “government by its adventure actions has created space for this case”.
“Trest what has happened Serbia has had no punishment, while Kosovo is in sanctions, Kosovo's position is worse than ever in the international arena, the European states after Banjska enter and emerge higher personalities in Serbia. They go and visit, we don't have a clear public attitude of accusing the Serbian state of those who have done it, and it all shows something that wasn't right with us. We can't just see what's mentioned on one side if the international factor is touching that terrorist regime there, and we're innocent of something that happened to us. Banjska has a precedent that unfortunately the Government of Kosovo, with its promotional adventure actions, has created space and opportunity for what Vuciqi did then in Banjska”, Limaj said further.
“At the same time, the Government of Kosovo lost its step with our partners to have such an attitude and position that any action of Serbia would be another situation if the government was more cautious, wiser and rational. Its steps to interact and deal well with our partners, especially with security, am convinced that otherwise it will be seen by international partners to have a different attitude than the Government of Kosovo. This is the reality unfortunately happened Banjska people were killed, we have a hero in our country who turned out that the death of Africa Bux was a moment where he dismantled the Serbian scenario, which they were prepared to do in Kosovo that day. A year later, it continues as if nothing was happening in Belgrade, we have no move towards Serbia”.
