Lajcak announced he held separate meetings with two chief negotiators.
The last two weeks have been an intensive diplomatic experience focused on advancing normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. After my discussion with Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi in Pristina, I traveled towards Belgrade to prepare the meeting of the chief negotiators in Brussels this Tuesday. On Tuesday, I organised separate meetings with Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels. Although we failed to agree on the agenda of a trilate meeting, we discussed political and technical issues and described important steps following to guide our future discussions”, Lajcak wrote.
Likewise, the special emissary also announced the continuation of his meetings in Paris, where he met with Emmanuel Bonne, President Macro's diplomatic adviser. He said he talked to him about recent developments in the dialogue.
“While Dialogue was the main focus of the last few weeks, I also participated in several other activities. From Belgrade, I continued to Paris to meet colleagues from the French Foreign Ministry and my good friend Emmanuel Bonne, the diplomatic adviser to President Macro. We focused on recent developments in the Dialogue on normalisation of relations, ensuring that we are on the line for the road before”.
After Paris, Lajcak travelled directly to Hungary, where he announced he participated in a panel where he discussed the Persian Balkans and their European perspective.
After a quick stop in Brussels, I traveled to Hungary, where I had the opportunity to speak to the EU as a foreign policy actor and also participate in a remote panel focused on the Western Balkans and their European perspective, along with several regional leaders. To conclude this intensive period, I engaged in young Slovak civil functionaries, stressing the key role of the European Foreign Action Service”.
