MP Xhavit Haliti from the Democratic Party of Kosovo has reacted to US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier's statement, calling it a welcome but problematic message. Haliti stressed that this statement came after the reflections of Prime Minister Kurti in Brussels and constitutes a signal to the Government of Kosovo.
The “Declaration welcomed by Kosovo's friends, made a day after Kurti made a reflective statement regarding its public attitudes and statements given in Europe's capital, Brussels. It is the next statement and message given to the Kosovo Government Political Garden”, Haliti said.
Haliti said it is unacceptable to make statements as guests at the home of the one who has offered help in the most difficult times. He called this a politically wrong move that has consequences for Kosovo citizens. According to him, Kosovo should not send bills to the West, while they continue to perceive the internal situation.
Make statements as guests to the host's house, which has given you a hand when you have the power to walk, has kept you “ca “ca” and has healed the wounds of the war, which is treating you as a friend, is being indicted and politically wrong with its costs costing and costing citizens of Kosovo. We can't send any bills to the West, but they're going to be going to”, Haliti told FrontOnline.
Linking the situation to the election process, Haliti underlined the need to respect the suggestions of Western democracies.
The “E understand all that Kosovo is in the process of elections, and the battle for votes is open to all parties, even though the campaign has yet to be legally declared, however the campaign must have its own contributions, not exceeding those through which we keep the reports with the West. Therefore, the Kosovo Political Garden should respect and apply the parental suggestions of the Fathers of Western democracies”, the Haliti potential.
Haliti stressed that the only road ahead is dialogue, moving away from nationalist rhetoric and calls for conflict.
Our path now is dialogue, not calls for war, not muscle story, but strategy based on realistic policy”, Haliti concluded.
