France to form new government next week

France will have the next “government”, said recently elected conservative Prime Minister Michel Barnier, as he is selecting people who will be ministers in the cabinet he will lead. “
“We will do things methodically and seriously”, Barnier told reporters, adding that he will listen to “all “on the political scene, which is divided into three camps, following early parliamentary elections held in July.
“We will name a Government next week”, he said.
Barnier has served as minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Foreign Affairs, as well as the former European Union's chief negotiator during Brex. Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron named it a compromise choice to lead with the new executive.
There is no clear majority in the French Parliament, following Macron's decision to disperse the National Assembly.
The assembly is widely divided among the centrists of Macroni, who have already made an alliance with the conservative Barnier party and the left-wing alliance, NFP and the far right National Rally.
The NFP has said it will file a no-confidence motion against any executive who is not led by them, but this alliance has failed to create a majority in Parliament.
By 1 October it is the deadline when the government must submit a draft budget for 2025, and Barnier is under pressure to establish the cabinet government. /rel
