The European Union has welcomed the establishment of the indictment against 45 members of the terrorist group that organised the September 24th attack on Zvecan Baysk, where police official Africa Bulnjak was killed.
EU spokesman Peter Stano has once again stressed the expectations of the culprits being held accountable.
“The EU welcomes the fact that the Kosovo Special Prosecutor has completed investigations into the Baynka attack and has filed the indictment. The ongoing EU has stressed the expectations that all those involved and responsible for this brutal attack be held accountable. The preamble of the indictment implies that now the court process will begin and we are waiting for the outcome of these judicial procedures. ” He said, broadcast Nacional.
On the other hand, Stano has been asked about the meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq with the European ambassador to Serbia, and the possibility of this topic being discussed.
We comment on the content of the meetings, at the level of ambassadors with the parties in the state. We do not need a meeting to convey the position of the EU, because it is clearly known, it has been repeated many times since the tragic day of September 24th of last year, and the expectation is that Serbia will fully co-operate in the investigation, and whether it is necessary to co-operate to hold it responsible. ” He said.
Stano has warned the consequences once the judicial process is complete:
Even then, at the end of September last year, this attack represents a clear and unprecedented transition. And there will be consequences, so once the Court in Kosovo decides who is guilty, then there will be consequences of”.
Meanwhile, in question of whether the EU will press Serbia to extradite chief criminal Milan Radojicic, he replied:
Our “position is clear, we expect from Serbia to fully co-operate on related procedures”.
