After the extremely high temperatures that have reigned almost throughout the summer, finally there are signals for drastic weather change, as a result of a powerful mass expected to be “cut off” from the Arctic.

According to Meteo Kosovo, under these conditions, we will in advance have the penetrate of the Cyclones coming from North Africa, which have already brought powerful destabilisation to Western Europe, and will then continue towards our Balkans and our country.

Thus, on Monday, mainly in the afternoon and in the evening, intense rainfall will be focused mainly on Albania and Montenegro, where heavy lightning slides and hail are also expected locally, and there will be also very powerful winds, especially along the coastline, which can reach speed up to 90 km/h. Floods are expected locally.

These rainfalls are expected to extend to Kosovo late afternoon and evening, especially during Tuesday, which will locally be intense, accompanied by lightning slides, bringing local floods. Temperatures will suffer reductions of at least 10 degrees Celsius, so maximums are projected below 20 °C.

Rainfalls are expected on Wednesday to cease during the day temporarily, including Thursday, and temperatures will mark short-term hikes for several degrees, except for Albania and Montenegro, where resurfaces will gradually return.

From Friday we're going to have the explosion of the second powerful mass, which comes from the Arctic, bringing in the intensity of rainfall and drastic temperature reductions, especially at the weekend, where maximums can drop by 1015 °C.

According to recent predictions, it is not ruled out for snowfall to appear even in high mountain areas in the western part of the country.
