The stop for goods produced in Serbia continues to be in effect.
Even after the threats of Kosovo's exclusion from the CEFTA free trade agreement and the Berlin Process have not mobilised the Kosovo executive in amending this decision.
The Kosovo government has told RTK days ago that they are working towards unblocking CEFTA, though from the same have not indicated whether they are considering removing import bans from Serbia.
Policy recognisers say that in the event of Kosovo's non-participation in the Berlin Process, the consequences will be great on the road to European integration.
Economic experts call on the Government to take action as soon as possible so that the country will not face measures, which go to the expense of the economy”, said Artan Mujaziri, policy connoisseur.
Germany has already started preparations for the Berlin Process summit, which will be held on 14 October.
Last week, CEFTA has announced that the economy ministers gathered in Berlin to mark the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Process and decide the next agenda. The conference, which brought together ministers, business leaders and international experts, focused on assessing progress towards establishing the Common Regional Market. The region's economic prospects, as it approaches EU integration, were the focus of discussions, along with ten important agreements to facilitate CEFTA trade that are pending approval.
Agreements under CEFTA are approved by the Joint Committee in the form of deployments, Additional Protocols, or recommendations. Currently, ten such agreements are pending approval in various fields: electronic trade, package distribution services, preventing unjustified geographical deadlocks, professional qualifications, intellectual ownership, risk management, travel agencies, engine security, recognition of authorised economic operators, and resolving trade disputes.
