The focus of the meeting is expected to be implementation of the agreements reached, while the chief negotiators are expected to have separate meetings with the European Union mediator Miroslav Lajcak, but expectations are that there will be no meeting between Bislimi and Petkov.
Before the meeting, European Union mediator Miroslav Lajcak visited Pristina and Belgrade to set the date and agenda of today's meeting. Meanwhile, there were statements that the planned meeting had been rejected by the Serb side.
Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi on 13 September said Serbia has rejected the meeting at the level of top negotiators scheduled on 17 September, according to the agenda set by European Union mediator Miroslav Lajcak.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo government announced that the first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialog of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, has travelled to Brussels, where he will participate in the upcoming meetings ahead under the dialogue process, Kp reports.
Otherwise, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca has reiterated yesterday that dialogue has died for this year. Even analysts do not expect that there will be any concrete steps regarding dialogue, given that the National Election Date has already been set in Kosovo, which will be held in February.
