British troops from Cutterick reportedly made history, becoming the first NATO troops to be deployed along a new strategic route across the Balkans.
This is Corridor 8, designed to allow NATO will quickly deploy forces and connect the Adriatic Sea with the Black Sea as it passes through Albania, northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.
Soldiers from the First Battalion, of the Royal Regiment from Yorkshire, have “condemned the path” after the battalion is deployed in Kosovo, where it will remain as part of NATO's KFOR operation until next year.
