US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill has stated that the Kosovo issue is very difficult, and that Washington's position is that the dialogue that has been decided is the best and only way to resolve the issue.
Serbian community must give a perspective on what their future will be through dialogue”, Hill said of Serbian television, RTS, where he was invited to the anniversary of the US terrorist attacks.
Hill has said that the US is sincerely committed to the continuation of Serbia's “success”, which, in his words, “is a place to calculate”.
He thinks we should be optimistic about Serbia's EU membership and co-operation with the EU, with the assessment that the “European perspective for Serbia is strengthening every day and more”.
It is important that the US support the EU in the enlargement process and support Serbia to join”, he has added.
According to him, after the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington in 2001, the world was united in the fight against terrorism.
