Kosovo's National Public Health Institute has made it known that no suspicious cases concerning MPox -- once called Monkey Line -- were reported in Kosovo.
This comes after the World Health Organization (OBSH), on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, has proclaimed MPox (the global public health emergency, for the second time in two years.
“In the Republic of Kosovo, no suspicious case reported as far as mporx is concerned and there is no room for panic, but for caution. We're in constant communication with O BSH and ECDC, for assessment of riskability and recommendations for measures to take for the disease in question”.
IKKPK labs are available for suspicious cases testing. I The KSHPK is monitoring the epidemiological situation in co-operation with KSFU and conforming the epidemiological situation in the region and the world, will come up with new reports”, the report said.
Health professionals are recommended to increase their attention to the symptoms of the disease, while citizens are advised to report to the doctor if they have doubts or symptoms of the disease.
