SBASK urges government to increase wage co-fficiency by 30%

After the discussions, the agreement was reached on forming a commission that will draft Kosovo's Kolektive Education Paper, which will be completed within a week and then sent to public discussion on membership to draft the final draft to be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI).
It was also decided that the SBASK will launch a civic initiative for changing the State-funded Pension Scheme Law, collecting over 10,000 signatures from members and other citizens to submit to Parliament for appropriate procedures.
Also, the SBASK will address AugustI and the Government for an increase in the value of the wage cofficiency of at least 30%, which would start implementing the month's wage of September 2024.

Participants expressed their concern over the failure to comply with the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the Law of Salaries, especially for paying the work experience in the first 15 years, where it currently pays only 0.25%.
They demand that the Government implement this decision retroactively since the introduction to the Law of the Pagans.
During the next week, municipal union and university assemblies will be held to discuss membership on these issues and to take their opinion on future union actions in the event of non-re Realisation of the requirements.
These meetings will be held before the meeting of the SBASK Steering Council, which will be held in late September, where it will be set for further union steps.
