“Sindicata let Kosovo's Parliament increase its budget for RTK, because with the current budget, it is impossible for RTK to transform and develop. All expectations in terms of property, law, and the construction of the dignified object must be shared by the only public medium.
Objects where our colleagues currently work do not meet even the minimum operating conditions. The union wants to stop attacks on public television and requires political parties and individuals assigned to keep their hands off public broadcaster. A powerful and independent public broadcaster is in the interest of the general public in Kosovo, and for that we must engage all” reportedly in the announcement issued by the Union.
According to the Union, the current situation in RTK, without the completion of the Board, is almost dysfunctional because “we are at the time when many important decisions have to be made for the future of public television”.
Union has asked Kosovo Assembly to consider opportunity and decide RTK, in the building where it is currently located “Radio Kosova” and for this process to decide by law that this facility meets RTK.
