Reversioned SBASK warns union action in mid-September

Representatives of the Council of Parents of Kosovo visited the United Education, Science and Culture Union on Wednesday to discuss the current situation in education and possibilities for resolving membership requirements without the union's union of union actions. In a media report, the SBASK announced that the SBASK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, Deputy Chairman Vjollca Shala and interior organisation co-ordinator Ymer Ymer, who briefed the Kosovo Parents Council on the challenges facing education in the country.
“We have deep concerns about the government's poor approach to unions and dialogue, which is missing and this has created dissatisfaction in membership ranks,” SBASK representatives said during the meeting, adding that there have been increased speculations about union actions if there is no solution to the legitimate requirements of teachers.
On the other hand, representatives of the Parents' Council, including Chairman Besnik Dragusha, Vice President Visar Islami and Secretary Enver Balaj, expressed agreement on the concerns of the SBASK, but stressed the importance of continuing dialogue to avoid strikes.
“We understand the situation, but we want to increase dialogue commitments so that a fair solution can be found without the need for syndical action,” said in the statement.
The SBASK announced it will continue efforts for dialogue with institutions, but did not rule out the possibility of union action by mid-September if the dialogue does not yield the expected results.
