Citizens of Kosovo up until yesterday may be able to convert drivers from illegals to those of the Republic of Kosovo.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that with the conversion of drivers from illegal drivers to the Republic of Kosovo, our citizens from the Serbian community have taken an important step towards integration, in large measure responding to the call for the application for converting this document.
“6509 applications for converting patenters from illegal to official ones in the Republic of Kosovo. In the four municipalities north of our state alone, 5732 patent drivers were converted, of which 2018 in Leposaviq, 1576 in northern Mitrovica, 1177 in Zvecan and 961 in Zubin Potok. The deadline for their census began on 9 May, and was in advance until 9 August. Because of numerous demands and high interest in converting patent drivers, we have postponed the same for 2 weeks, until yesterday on August 23rd. This more than three month period of conversion passed without incident or complaint”, he wrote in {Facebook”.
The government chief has thanked all citizens who took advantage of this opportunity, as well as officials of our institutions at the offices and registration centres, for their work and the assistance of applicants in the process.
