At a media conference, she has stressed that they sought to abolish several provisions of the Constitution.
“We submitted comments in which we argue that the procedure of how the law was made and some articles dealing with regulation of KPM functioning conflicts with some provisions of the Constitution, but in particular conflicts with the principle of gender equality, with media freedom and with KPM independence<1>.
We have argued that some of the articles should be abolished, but also, if these articles are abolished the Law cannot survive because it becomes unintelligible in practice, so we hope that it will be abolished overall”, Kusari said.
