Krasniqi for action in the north: Illegal parallel institutions have been closed

Local Power Management Minister Elbert Krasniqi has announced that parallel municipalities in Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin-Potok and Leposaviq have been closed in action.

“Today, after a close co-ordination between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, have closed the illegal parallel institutions of Local Self-government, which have operated under Serbia's directives, affecting the constitutionality and laws of the Republic of Kosovo”, he wrote on Facebook.

Kosovo Republic institutions offer services to all citizens indiscriminately. They are the right addresses for all the demands and needs of our citizens. We remain devoted to as many quality services as possible. Citizens without any distinction have an exact address where they can obtain municipal services, and parallel structures understand that they cannot operate outside the legal framework of the Republic of Kosovo. There is no room for illegal operation and parallel services in any space of our Republic”, he added.
