He heard only the words Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani told him before he handed over the Kosovo flag.
Bytyqi was accompanied by his coach, Adrian Mazrek and the head of the Kosovo Parliamentary Committee, Njomza Emini.
Bytyqi is the only racer to represent Kosovo at the Paralytic Games “Paris 2024”.
The Paris Games are the first for Kosovo following the Kosovo Parliamentary Committee's accession to the International Parliamentary Committee.
The Olympics begin on August 28, a few weeks after the end of the Olympics. Organizations are great, while participation of disabled, massive athletes.
The presentation of the paralympists in Paris ends on 8 September.
Kosovo, in its debut at the Paralypic Games, is presented with pre-Atlantic Bytyqi. He'll race at 1500 meters.
Bytyqi's presentation to the Paralytic Games “Paris 2024”, President Osmani has praised it as historic for Kosovo.
“We are already proud that Kosovo will be represented at the Paralypic Games. It has been the historic success of Kosovo's membership in the Parliamentary Committee, even though we are already participating in the Olympic Games that three times, it is the first time because of membership in the International Parliamentary Committee that we participate in the Paralypic Games in Paris, and even though we are participating with just one athlete, it is truly historic representation and I am convinced that you will represent Kosovo dignifiedly and Kosovo will shine just as it does in the international arena every time through our”, Osmani said.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Parliamentary Committee Chairman Nnomza Emini has said that with Grevist Bytyqi, a new era begins for the country's paralypic sport.
She calls Gravist a pioneer of a long journey that will follow many other paraletons in the future.
“This moment is the product of our joint efforts, of won and, above all, of the belief in the values we represent as the paralytic movement”, Emini has said, the Kosovo Parliamentary Committee reports.
Grevisti is part of the Malisheva club, formed in 1999.
Kosovo on the International Parliamentary Committee was accepted two years ago.
The expectations were that accession would take place immediately after the Kosovo Olympic Committee's accession to the International Olympic Committee. The KOK was accepted in December 2014.
Since then, two editions of the Summer Olympics and two others of the Winter Paralytic Games have been developed. Kosovo was not part of them. The Kosovo Parliamentary Committee failed to become a member of the International Parliamentary Committee. There was no obstacle to political nature, admission to the IOC opened all roads.
The problem was internal, of inadequate organisation of paralypic movements in Kosovo. Now it's estimated there's an increase in organization. The expectations are for good results from Grevisti, Kosovo's only racer at the Paralytic Games “Paris 2024”.
