Kosovo's Olympic team will return home with two Olympic medals from nine possible from the Olympic Games, as Hannah Beiqi and Gresa Bakracci were the last Kosovo athletes to compete in Paris 2024.

Beiqi and Bakrac failed in their first round in their respective competitions Saturday in the French capital, leaving with no medals.

The 15-year-old swimmer came last on her battery, with a time of 27.34 seconds, insufficient to secure a country among the top 16. That was her debut at the Olympic Games.

Bakracci, meanwhile, was disqualified from the race to 800m running after breaking the rules by cutting the course, as she left her lane prematurely.

However, the Olympic team will return to Kosovo with two Olympic medals from this Olympics, after the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020, Distria Krasniqi won the silver medal in the category of up to 52kg in Judo, while Laura Fazliu won the bronze medal in her debut.

Fazliu triumphed in the category of up to 63kg to win the first Olympic medal in the career.

The debut in these games was marked by both coach and legendary Kosovo Judder Majlinda Kelmendi, winning the first Olympic medal in her new role as coach Fazlius.

Kelmendi wrote the history of Kosovo's sports when she became an Olympic champion in debut at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

In addition to Beick and Bakrac, medals did not win Adele Shaboviq, Nora Gjakova, Akil Gjakova, Loriana Kuka and Donjet Sadiku either.

Kosovo travelled towards Paris with nine athletes in sports, such as judo, swimming, athletics and boxing.

Kosovo marked the debut in 2016 at the Rio Olympics in Brazil, and has since won five Olympic medals, three golds, one silver and one bronze, all in judo.
