The main theme at the meeting appears to be opening the Bridge on Iber.
Ambassador of the United States to Kosovo Jeffrey Havenier has said that the QUINT states in consultation with NATO currently do not support any change in the current status of the bridge in Mitrovica.
“We are representatives of France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, the United States ... We met with Prime Minister Kurti to inform him that our governments in consultation with NATO cannot support any change in the current status of the Mitrovica bridge currently”, Havenier has indicated after meeting with Kurti.
Though asked why they reject the opening, Havenier refused to comment.
This meeting comes after “impacting” at the distance between Kosovo and the EU regarding the opening of the Ibër Bridge.
