Fires in Albania, 12 sites still active

Albania's Defence Ministry has said they are working to extinguish fires in 12 centres that continue to be active, while another 14 reported during the day have been extinguished. The announcement makes it clear that fire centres are still being monitored in the village of Scuaj, Mount Kakarariqi (Lajqi), on Mount Lopci (Golter), in the forest area Bode, over the village of Lozhan (joining Maliq), and other countries.
Fire has also been put under control in the Portuguese village of Librazhd, on a forest surface in the area of Shebenik National Park.
Work follows and does not pose a risk of spreading even fire to the country called “Kuke Mountain”, the Prrenja municipality.
Forces are engaged and have the situation under control in the fire hearth at Mt. Luga, the village of Kuskunja Tirana, as well as at the site of the Malakaster municipality remains.
In the village of Mazharénica and the village of Bolenenja Himara, fires of bush and dense vegetation have been activated.
The situation created by fire in the village of Nina, Konispol municipality, on the grassland surface is being seen with attention. The strong wind is favouring the flames, but they are far from the inhabited area.
450 forces and 33 vehicles have been activated in fire extinguishing operations. Supporting these forces are 130 troops engaged by the Armed Forces.
