Regular elections for the Kosovo Republic Assembly will be held on February 9th 2025. By decree, President Vjosa Osmani has instructed the Central Election Commission (KQZ) to take the necessary actions to organise and hold elections.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, disclosed about RTK, that the CEC has set a deadline for registering coalitions and voters living outside Kosovo.
The “Affati for registering coalitions began on the day of the 16 August election proclamation and will be completed by 30 August. So by this time political parties have to report the CEC, this kind of participation in the elections. On this issue we have notified political parties who are registered in the CEC for legal obligation”, Elesi said.
As for voters living outside Kosovo, Elez suggested that electronic platforms will soon be accessible for the census period and application for voters outside Kosovo
The “will have sufficient time for this process, which will begin 29 August and complete 26 December. So for this period they can submit their application to register as voters outside Kosovo”, he said.
According to him, exiles can choose how they want to vote, physically through diplomatic representations, or even through two other ways: sending the package of balloting to the CEC's postal fah in Kosovo or to the CEC postal fahah, which will open outside Kosovo.
Elez also spoke of the election process, where he announced that the CEC has begun the process and the plan of election activities that connect with voters.
