Over 6 thousand Serbs converted illegal Serbian drivers to Kosovo

By yesterday, 6100 driving licenses have been converted, Kosovo Police Deputy Director for the Northern Region Veton Elshani has announced.

Kosovo's Interior Affairs Minister has extended the deadline for converting drivers from those issued by Serbian illegal institutions to official drivers of the Republic of Kosovo until 23 August.

Minister Jelela Svechla has stated that the decision to postpone patent conversion of drivers has come following Serbia's strong demand for conversion.

But after the 23 August date, it has been warned that police will take steps, even imposing fines.
