For today, it is designed to hold mostly sunny and extremely hot weather. Look out! Risks of dehydration and heat shock if you stay out for long periods of time.
The wind will blow various directions at speeds of 1035 km per hour.
Minimum temperatures will range from 18 to 21 °C, while maximum temperatures of 35 to 38 °C.
How can you protect yourself from the heat shock:
Know symptoms of heat shock:
Symptoms include high body temperature (over 40 °C), headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, excessive perspiration, quick and weak pulse, confusion, or loss of consciousness.
If you suspect heat shocks, immediately seek medical help.
Stay hydrated and fresh:
Drink water regularly, and consume food that contains plenty of water, such as fruits and vegetables.
Use wet towels with cold water or take cold showers to reduce body temperature.
Use sun protection:
Apply sun cream with high (SPF) protection factors every two hours and after sweat or swimming.
Wear hats and sunglasses to protect your head and eyes.
Take care of others:
Check the elderly, children and people with chronic illnesses, as they are more sensitive to the heat.
Make sure everyone has access to fresh water and fresh surroundings.
Plan the activities at appropriate times:
Perform physical activities in the morning or evening when temperatures are lower.
Avoid long exposure to the sun during noon hours (1000-16:00).
In case of emergency:
Act immediately:
If someone shows symptoms of heat shock, turn it away from the heat and call out medical help immediately.
In the meantime, try to reduce body temperature by using cold water, wet towels, or ventilators.
Following such advice can significantly reduce the risk of health problems caused by heat shock. /Meteo Kosovo/
