Southgate: To Spain we must be equally perfect

The team of England secured their first appearance in a grand final on foreign land with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in Wednesday's semifinal.

It is the third time in the last four major races that Southgate has led England to the semifinal European phase or World Cup.

Southgate says Spain, three-time winner, is “favoured” for the final, while England's men aim to win their first European title.

“They will rightly be favoured for what they have done in this tournament. They were the best team,” said Southgate.

They have one more day and in the last three finals, maybe more, it's been quite significant, so we have to get back properly.

We'll have to be perfect, because they're a very good team. But, you know, we're here. ”
