Unlike the private sector, such as education, continued demand remains to raise wages. But the United Education, Science and Culture Union still disagrees whether there will be a strike in education by September.
Its leader, Nundman Jasharaj, claims there will be a strike, but Ymer Ymer, co-ordinator for internal organisation in SBASK, claims there is still no decision on the issue.
In the United Education, Science and Culture Union, there is no deal if there is a strike in September. In the SBASK, however, there must be increased wages for teachers.
SBASK Chairman Nundman Jasharaj told RTK-Radio that the request to the Ministry of Education and Government is ongoing.
But, unlike Jasharaj, the co-ordinator for internal organisation in the SBASK, Ymer Ymer, says that so far in this union they have not accepted any requests for strike. According to him, for the time being, the lesson is expected to begin in September.
The “therefore considering that to declare a strike dos a procedure, there is a Grava Law that has a procedure, I can say full responsibility that September 1st will begin. Then, as for the teacher strike, I'm going to start teaching the way it was before. The SBASK did not presumption on September 1st to start a strike, but the lesson will continue just as the Ministry of Arisit” has predicted, said Ymer Ymeri, co-ordinator for internal organisation in SBASK.
Meanwhile, the SBASK leader, Nundman Jasharaj, claims that with the May 1st protest, the union made the demands clear. One of them is the establishment of the coefficator.
We publicly, on May 1st through protest, have made public our demands before the Government. One of them is the rise of the cofficiency, as years ago compared to the countries in the region, we took pride in our salaries and now we are with the lowest salaries”, said Nundman Jasharaj, chairman I SUNSHK.
Faithful Dragusha, chairman of the Council of Parents of Kosovo, in response to RTK, stated that information about the possibility of a September education strike, has no information, so the Council will request a meeting with the head of the SBSF for more information.
