Nora Gjakova understands the importance of the Olympics. In last edition, Tokyo 2020, held in Japan, the young athlete won the gold medal, impressing everyone. This week, Nora and her teammates begin their journey to the French capital, aiming to repeat this success.
The Southeast European country will be represented by nine athletes in these disciplines -- judo, athletics, boxing and swimming. In addition to brothers and sisters flagging, Kosovo's Olympic list includes Distria Krasniqi, Laura Fazliu, Loriana Kuka and Akil Gjakova.
Hopes are great for all athletes who have shown great talent and presence in their races. In particular, Krasniqi and Gjakova, current Olympic champions, aspire to keep Kosovo on their shoulders. A series of victories also includes boxer Donjeta Sadiku. swimmers Adelle Shabovic and Hannah Beqiri will also attend at the invitation, as will athlete Gresa Bakrracci.
