“unfortunately...” What Lajcak said last night about the Bistim of Petkov

Chief negotiators Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovovic stayed in Brussels late Tuesday last week, where they went to find a solution for the way to implement the agreement on the road to normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. But without success. Separate meetings with European Union envoy Miroslav Lajcak and [...]
For about seven hours, a series of issues were discussed, while Lajcak said they were reconciled “for a number of future steps”.
Until July 18th, Kosovo and Serbia remain to submit their comments regarding the plan to implement the basic agreement, as Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said that night.
He said that based on comments to be sent by both sides, European mediators will issue a new proposal for implementation of the agreement.
While last night, European Union envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, making a review of his weekly Facebook work, has also talked about the meeting he had last week with top negotiators Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkov.
He has said that after several hours of intensive discussions, they have agreed on future concrete steps on some practical issues, but not on implementing the Agreement on the road to normalisation.
“I just started my visit to London after a busy week, which started in Brussels and ended in Madrid. In Brussels, I waited for the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia to attend last week's summit. After more than seven hours of intensive discussion, we agreed on future concrete steps on some practical issues. Unfortunately, we failed to make progress in implementing the Road to Normalization”.
“From Brussels, I traveled to Madrid to participate in the World Economic Forum's High-Level Summit on Strategic Interdependence and the European Council for Foreign Relations Annual Meeting. Both events were extremely useful in discussing the European policy course and exchanging ideas with experts and policy practitioners. During my activities, I also had the opportunity to see many of my colleagues and good friends again. Once in Madrid, I also took my stand to discuss developments in the Western Balkans with Spanish State Secretary for European Affairs”, Lajcak wrote.
