Election consultations, in CEC say preparations start after date is set

CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said that this institution “begins intensive preparations for preparing and organising the elections, in terms of implementing activities under the mandates set by law, after the date is set for keeping them”.

Osman's invitation has already been responded to by opposition parties.

For Tve1, LDK spokesman Besian Mustafa has said they have received the letter from the president and that party chairman Lumir Abdixhiku will go to the meeting and that he will reveal the party's position.

PDK Secretary Vlora Citaku, at a media conference, has said they will also show their favorite date at the meeting.

“The PDK has accepted the invitation of President Osmani for a meeting about the date of the elections, of course, responding to the invitation. The PDK has called for early elections since July last year, but President Osmani's invitation relates to setting the date for fair elections. We will participate and take the stand on this issue and on the preferred date we will say it”, she said.

While AAK spokesman Qemali said that AAK has no reason not to participate in the meeting, however, has added that the decision will be made over the next few days.
