The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on May 8th that in two days the process of converting illegal drivers to legals will begin.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports to all citizens that from May 10th 2024, the driver's patent conversion process released by the non-legal Serb structures in the Kosovo Republic's driver's license will last until August 9th 2024”, the May 8th announcement said.
The deputy director of the Police for the North, Veton Elshani, has told Gazeta Express that by July 3rd, a thousand and 901 people have applied to get the license of Kosovo Republic drivers.

Details on application for converting drivers
The procedure for Kosovo driver's license equipment lasts 15 days. The driver's license issued by Serbian structures turns to applicants as invalid documents and the same device is equipped with the driver of the Republic of Kosovo.
The MBP has indicated that all citizens who possess a driver's license issued by the non-legal Serbian structures can apply for the official driver's license of the Republic of Kosovo through the application of electronic forms on the website https://patenthoferonline.rks-gov.net/ or even physically at the Centre for Documents in all Kosovo municipalities.
In case of physical appearance for application of the Centers for Documents Sports, citizens must possess these documents:
The ID of the Republic of Kosovo,
The original driver's license issued by Serbian authorities,
Health certificate for driver's license equipment,
The health certificate is issued by health institutions licensed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo;
The price for health certificate ranges from the tool category for which the driver's license and the following: For category B/ The EU's health certificate price is 20 euros (20.00 m); For the C category and the D category, the price of health certificate is 50 euros (50.00. m).
Evidence of the tax fee, worth fifteen euros (15.00 m) and the driver's patent origin issued by UNMIK or RKS if the application is made to add categories, which has also been enabled through this decision by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
