Vladimir Putin's “Oferata for ceasefire cannot be trusted”, Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky said.
Zelensky warned that the Russian president would not stop his offensive, even if his demands were met.
It becomes known that his comments come after Putin determined a list of requirements he wants Ukraine to meet before peace negotiations can begin, writes Skynews, Telegraphy notes.
Putin's demands include the immediate withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Zaporizhja regions, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk.
Also, the Russian president wants Ukraine to give up its plans to join NATO.
Otherwise, the Russian leader's demands were not well received by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin.
Austin argued Putin could end the war today if he wants to and urged the Russian president to withdraw his troops from Ukrainian territory.
