A loving theme for fans, not just the English, since the use of VAR has created controversy throughout British football since its presentation.
As expected, on the eve of the vote, the 14 votes necessary for the removal of the VAR were not achieved.
Therefore, the VAR will remain in force for the 2024-2025 season.
Premier League clubs have the right to propose regulation changes, but any such proposal requires a two-thirds majority (up to 14 out of 20 clubs) to pass.
Therefore, this objective is not likely to be achieved, as there is the general opinion that most clubs would like to make changes that improve the current system rather than eliminate it, but is still considered a useful tool.
Changes are expected in the arbitration system at the Premier League next season, as it will be introduced out of the semi-fund, approved at the shareholders' collection in April.
