The Ukraine football team, in Germany for Euro-2024, underlined the devastating impact of the country's war on a video call to fans.
In an exciting video distributed by Ukraine's football governing body, 13 players showed the devastating effect of war on their country.
The Golden Ball winner and president of the Ukrainian Football Federation Andriy Shevchenko said the main message is that football and war are not divided.
There are no Ukrainian footballers, cities, stadiums, playgrounds or children untouched by war. We are here at EURO 2024 thanks to the extraordinary people who fight for our freedom, including hundreds of thousands of football fans, who would rather be in the tribuna instead of the first line”, Chevchenko said.
Ukraine's football team will hold the first match of the tour against Romania first by 1500.
