Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has said the European Union's measures towards Kosovo must be lifted and everything depends on the meeting to be held in Brussels from now on.
Rohde, has stated he is in the hands of member states, which will be the final decision to be made in relation to Kosovo in terms of the deployment of measures by the EU.
The ambassador, he also quoted Emissar's visit to the Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, who met with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.
“This is a discussion that needs to be made in Brussels, we will have to see well what they decide. Now it's in the hands of member states, I think that the EU's newcomer, for dialogue, was yesterday in Kosovo, he gave his thoughts, the move must be removed, to see what comes”, Rohde said.
We remember that, on his visit to Kosovo, after meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi, Lajcak was declared to the media, where he said the reason for his visit to Pristina has been to discuss refocusing in the normalisation process and what steps must be taken further.
Furthermore, he had stressed that at the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi discussed accelerating the Basic Agreement, but also on the issue of the Growth Plan.
The second question we discussed was the Development Plan, which is a new EU financial instrument that is being offered 6 billion euros in investment”.
But for Kosovo and Serbia this allocation of funds is conditional on constructive engagement in dialogue, and here I am the one who should make this assessment of constructiveity. That's why we discussed how to get to the positive assessment”, Lajcak said.
