Paya's hospital went out last night with an important report of the fire that filled the information technology equipment room last week. This hospital confirmed that the fire was deliberately caused by a masked person but that because of not interfering with the investigative work they did not release this information earlier

“The General Hospital in Pec has faced a brutal and terrible attack. In contrast to the fact that the first allegations according to initial expertise was that fire was caused by some electrical defect, during the investigation and sight of security cameras were seen as intentional by a masked person. From the first few hours after the attack, after verifying the recordings of security cameras, we realized that it was a criminal attack aimed at our state institution, but after consultations with the investigators, we did not immediately publish this information not to prevent investigations, since we have been synchronized in total with the bodies of the” order, the report says.

In addition, they said the fire was immediately located because otherwise, the lives of patients and hospital staff would be endangered.

In the early morning of Wednesday, about 2:20 p.m., one person, according to security cameras, broke into the information technology room and set this room on fire. This unprecedented act has caused major material damage and deeply shaken our staff and patients. Fortunately, however, there has been no loss of life or loss of data except for material harm. This attack has hit the heart of our activity and has made us feel the uncertainty that this situation created by criminal acts has brought.”, said the report further.

And in the regions of the Fire there were signs from its foundation.

“In the areas where the attack occurred, there is a hospital archive full of documents since the establishment of the hospital, and most hospital beds are concentrated in this hospital block. We're lucky that the fire was quickly located, because otherwise we would have tragedy, because the attacker risked the lives of hundreds of our patients and staff”, it says, among other things in the announcement.

Kosovo police have also announced the fire.

They have named the case a fireman, not reporting to arrest the case.
