To honour the glorious KLA war, all those who fought, in particular to honour the sacrifice of martyrs and their families, Mayor Bedri Hamza, along with Deputy Chairman Arian Tahiri, directors of municipal directors, have placed cool flowers in the tomb of martyrs in Shipol.
Participants in these homazhes were also representatives of other local, family of martyrs, representatives of organisations released from the KLA war and numerous citizens.
Mayor Hamza said the freedom we enjoy today is the gift that martyrs pay at the most expensive price -- life itself.
“Mitrovica has given much to Kosovo, in every stage of its existence. But the bravery and sacrifice of martyrs in the last war is the most painful transmission of our country, on the long track of effort, to realize the right to free living. The witnesses of Mitrovica, martyrs and civilians are the cornerstone of our existence, are the guarantees given with the most expensive task of sacrifice, that we today live free and independent, work and develop. Today and every day we humble ourselves before the heroic work of the Mitrovica martyrs,” said Hamza.
This anniversary was organised by the Mitrovica municipality, under the auspices of the mayor of the municipality, respectively.
