The Democratic League of Kosovo welcomes the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the Democratic League parliamentary group's request supported by some MPs from the opposition, to assess the constitutionality of Kosovo's Assembly decision on the dismissal of Prosecutorial Organisation member Kimete Gashi.
The Constitutional Court's decision confirmed the Democratic League's stance that the ruling party through the Kosovo Parliament has committed constitutional violations.
The Constitutional Court in its ruling found that: “in the Ko157/23 case, the Court has decided, unanimously, that (i) it should declare acceptable demand; and (ii) by eight (8) votes for and one (1) against, that the verdict [inr.08] - July 13, 2023. of Republic of Kosovo's Assembly for the dismissal of O Board member The EPS, is not in agreement with Article 9 of Article 65 [The Framework Compits] and Article 142's paragraph 1 [ Independent Agents] of the Constitution. ”
