Less than 24 hours later, it was announced that UEFA had opened disciplinary procedures against them.
A issued statement stated: “Disciplinary Process has been initiated in line with Article 55 of U's Disciplinary Adjust EFA (DR) after European Championship group phase match EFA between Serbia and England (0-1) played on June 16th 2024 in Gelsenkirchen Germany.
