Counter FIFA, Anceplotti makes the unexpected decision about Real Madrid

Italian coach says the giants of La League and the new winner of the Champions League will refuse to participate in the World Club Cup, which FIFA organises in the US next year.

“Klubi and footballers will not participate in that tournament. A Real Madrid match is worth 20 million, and FIFA wants to give us that amount for the entire tournament. No way. Like us, other clubs will reject the invitation”, Anceplotti said.

Anceplott has become the most successful coach of Champions League, winning the trophy five times, three times with Madrid and twice with Milan. He had also won the European Cup twice as a footballer, always with the reds.

Anceplott has recently signed an extension of the contract with Real Madrid until June 2026.
