The announcement of the indictment was made Tuesday by Judge Blerta Kelmendi.
For criminal work “The threat of public traffic”, Rexaj was sentenced to 5 years in prison, while for criminal work “the failure to help the injured person in the public traffic disaster” was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
To Rexhaj, the Court pronounced a unique sentence of 6 years in prison, in which the time spent in detention from November 27, 2023, will be executed after the integrity of the act.
In terms of Article 366 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the accused continued the detention measure, but no longer than the stated sentence.
Also to the accused, Rexhaj, subform Article 56 and 65 of the Penal Code, was submitted the supplementary punishment, obtaining a driver's license, and not getting a new driver's license in length of five years.
According to Judge Kelmendi, the supplementary sentence begins to be applied after the court takes on a formal form, while the time spent in prison will not be calculated in the pronunciation of the complementary sentence.
The Basic Prosecutor's Act in Pec, Aaron Rexhaj, charged that on November 26, 2023 on the road to “Bill Clinton” in Pec, by default, violated the law on road traffic regulations, risking people's lives and wealth, with this case, the death of U.S. infantry was triggered.
According to the indictment, the accused Rexhaj, by car for the train station in Pec, by failing to adjust the speed of the movement, the conditions of the road with the right side of the vehicle hit the U.G. infantry, which had begun to cross the road and, as a result of the accident, changed lives.
By this, Rexhaj was charged with committing criminal work “Public Traffic Reservation”, from Article 379, par.9 related to par.6 and 1 Penal Code.
