The trial against former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors (UCK) will continue on 21 May, since the court for the 62nd witness said his past testimony could be put to evidence.
The news has revealed to Albanian Post the spokesman for the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS), Christopher Bennett.
“Today or Friday there is no court process. Yesterday, the chairman of the court announced that the procedure was cancelled after the defence said there would be no questions for the appointed witness (02486), with the result that previous witness testimony could be tested”.
The court procedures will resume on Tuesday, May 21,”, Bennett told the AP.
The last two witnesses in Special have testified at closed sessions.
In the trial of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, Rexhep Selimi's defence, Eric Tully, has demanded that one of the evidence to be heard next week be of no proval value.
The defense has been requested since the same ones were not given material evidence, while the same witnesses have examined them extensively.
Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Ministers édri Veselin of Jakup Krasniqi and former Kosovo President Rexhep Selimi, are charged with murder, torture and cruel treatment at about 40 detention centres in the period between 1998 (1999).
The trial against former KLA leaders began on April 3, 2023, after more than two years by confirming the indictment.
But the four special indictees have denied any prosecution claim.
